The Virtual Immunization Communication Network hosted it’s second national webinar on Thursday, July 22, 2010. The Flu Ends with U: Communication Strategies and Recommendations for the Upcoming Flu Season, featuring, Kristine M. Sheedy, PhD, Associate Director for Communication Science at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The webinar focused on messages and communication strategies to assist public health professionals with understanding the importance of communicating a consistent message to the public and the implications of the newly established universal vacc
ination recommendation. The second part of the broadcast discusses ways to use social media and other easily accessible technologies to reach a broader audience effectively to convey important messages and features Kerry Shearer and Holli Seitz.
