VICNetwork Webinar: Promoting National Infant Immunization Week

National Infant Immunization Week 2016
Resources and materials to help you highlight the importance of infant immunizations during this annual observance
NIIW is the week of April 16-23!

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is an annual observance to promote the benefits of immunizations and to improve the health of children two years old or younger. Since 1994, local and state health departments, national immunization partners, healthcare professionals, community leaders from across the United States, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have worked together through NIIW to highlight the positive impact of vaccination on the lives of infants and children, and to call attention to immunization achievements.

Objectives:

  • Overview of NIIW goals and purpose
  • Key dates and resources for the CDC Childhood Immunization Champion Award
  • Highlight CDC materials available for use in planning and conducting your NIIW events
  • NIIW success stories from program and coalition colleagues at the state level
Presenters:

Dave McCormick, (Director of the Indiana Immunization Division), Indiana Immunization Program Manager
Jill Woodard, Northrop Grumman Health Research Associate working at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a contractor.
